South Sudan’s Ministry of Trade and Industry to build a new sky-scrapper in Juba City

The Ministry of Trade and Industry in South Sudan seems to be working on an ambitious project which will transform the Juba City landscape.
The Trade and Industry Ministry has just unveiled a Modern Design for its sky-scraping new Headquarters to be located in the heart of Juba City.
For some reason, the ministry, according to their statement, believes the structure will Boost Economy and Enhance Regional Integration.
It is however not known when exactly the works for the new building will start.
The South Sudanese Ministry of Trade and Industry disclosed the final approval of the design for its new strategic headquarters in the capital, Juba.
The ministry’s plan is indicating that the building will be constructed along the Juba-Yei Road, with the structure set to protrude at 10 floors from the ground level, with addition underground bays for multi-purpose facilities.
The project aims to accommodate expanding operations of the ministry and strengthen South Sudan’s role in regional and international trade by providing advanced infrastructure, including conference halls.
The proposed facility boasts conference and meeting halls with the capacity to accommodate over 1,000 participants, in addition to high-efficiency administrative and service facilities.
The South Sudan Minister of Trade and Industry Ateny Wek Ateny explained further that the new headquarters represents a crucial step in enhancing the country’s trade policy, empowering national professionals, and fostering effective partnerships between the public and private sectors.
She also called on local and international partners to support this strategic initiative, which aims to develop sustainable infrastructure and elevate South Sudan’s position as a commercial and investment hub in the region.
“This project aligns with the government’s efforts to achieve economic stability and facilitate trade exchange, in line with the nation’s vision for sustainable growth and development,” the Minister maintained.
She however did not divulge how long the project is expected to take and how much the project will cost.
